We’re talking about newborn photography in today’s post in #31daysofblogging.
What I love about newborn photography is the quiet sweetness. Quiet may sound counterintuitive when we’re talking about a newborn, but let me explain. I arrive at a client’s home, we quickly set a stage - this is often no more complicated than covering a bed with a good, neutral blanket or sheepskin; baby is often napping or has just woken up (newborns have a fantastic tendency to sleep a lot); and because parents are at home, everything feels a little more hushed and relaxed.
Today I’m showing a few of the images I took from my own baby’s newborn session when he was just two weeks old, which took place on my bed, using available window light and a sheepskin, after baby just woke up. What a sweet reminder of how quickly they grow!
